If you are worried about jet lag, we can have a late start on Day 2 or simply leave it as a free day. Feel free to let us know your preference.

Let’s start the tour at the Temple of Confucius, to begin to understand Chinese traditions and beliefs.

Then we’ll head to the Imperial Academy, to learn about China’s traditional education system and listen to Dacheng Rites Music. Then visit the unique Lama Temple. 

Enjoy the famous Peking roast duck for lunch, where an a-la-carte meal will be arranged. Kids can talk to the waitress in mandarin and order food from a Chinese menu.

Walk into a traditional courtyard and visit a hutong family. Discover the traditional lifestyle and let your kids be like Chinese children living in a hutong as they experience how they study and play, and taste the snacks they love.

Discover the Summer Palace and its beautiful architecture and vast gardens in the morning.

Lunch will be arranged in a hidden retreat-restaurant at the foot of the Great Wall. The restaurant used to be a glazed-tile factory. Now it offers organic dishes and an opportunity to explore rural China.

Drive to China’s amazing icon, the Great Wall. We recommend the Mutianyu section. There are five gigantic Chinese characters on one hillside by the wall. Find out what they mean and why they are there from your knowledgeable guide.

To help the kids have more fun, a chairlift going up and toboggan sliding down are included.

Explore the highlights of Beijing city using public transport. Kids will learn how to read Chinese signs along the way and gain deeper insights into local people’s lives.

First visit Tian’anmen Square, and then the Forbidden City. You will explore some sites that interest kids more. The guide will give you detailed information about the history, culture, and architecture of the Forbidden City, bringing the stories alive for your kids.

If you would rather not use public transport, we can arrange a private vehicle instead.

Head to the Temple of Heaven, a bustling place where locals participate in all kinds of activities, such as kite-flying and water-calligraphy. Join them and practice daily conversation

Then it will be time for a tai chi class with a renowned local tai chi master.

Race towards Xi’an and enjoy lunch on a high-speed train, a good way to experience the technological development of China.

The Terracotta Warriors are one of the greatest man-made wonders. We will introduce you to a different Terracotta Museum, one that can’t be googled.

We’ll visit a local cave dwelling and you can make a little warrior of your own, with your local host’s help.

After lunch, we visit the ancient City Wall of Xi’an and enjoy a bike ride on it.

The Xian Museum show you the development of thirteen ancient capitals in the past dynasties. Then learn the traditional architecture at the Small Wild Goose Pagoda.

You will use the pattern-making method to create a model of the pagoda, which is a forming process widely used in casting and the production of crafts.

Visit an energetic local family. Learn how to make dumplings and enjoy a family meal with them. 

Have a calligraphy class in the Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum. Practice under the guidance of your teacher. And take home a scroll you wrote as a souvenir.

Catch the morning high-speed train to Chengdu, a city renowned mainly for two things – its pandas and its food.

Spend your afternoon in People’s Park. The park is a lovely place for a leisurely walk or to observe locals engaging in various activities like tai chi or traditional music performances. Have a cup of tea in tea house is a traditional custom for Chengdu people.

Tasting local street food at Jinli Street. Try some famous food like bean jelly in chili source, sweet potato noodle and wonton in Sichuan style. If you are brave, you can try rabbit head in chili source.

Drive for 2 hours and arrive in Leshan by noon. After a short break and lunch, your journey to the Giant Buddha begins.

Climb up the Buddha, then walk down the narrow plank all the way to its feet, to discover you are only as tall as one of its toes.

A cruise on the river nearby is also included, so you can have a different panoramic view of the Buddha

The Dujiangyan Panda Valley, nestled among mountains and waters, provides fresh air and a serene atmosphere with fewer visitors. Here, you can observe giant pandas up close, while red pandas roam freely—if you’re lucky, one might even pass by you during your visit.

Your lunch is an authentic Sichuan hot pot, known for its bold flavors, particularly the numbing heat from Sichuan peppercorns. Please advise if you can’t handle spicy food.

After lunch, you visit a Chinese painting studio, where a professional painter guides you in creating your own panda artwork to take home.

After the tour, your private guide and driver will accompany you to the airport and you will fly to Shanghai.

This morning, we’ll explore the modern residential areas and local life in Cao Yang New Neighborhood. Visit local markets to sample fresh produce and snacks while practicing your language skills. Afterward, we’ll stop by the community exhibition hall and enjoy a simple, authentic lunch at the community canteen.

Experience a public ferry and then ascend the tallest building in Shanghai — Shanghai Tower.

Last stop is the Bund, where you will explore diverse architectural styles and enjoy breathtaking views of the modern skyline.

Let’s create some memorable family moments at Shanghai Disneyland. A private vehicle will escort you directly to the Disneyland entrance. Enjoy fun experiences the whole day, and fireworks in the evening.
