Upon your arrival in Beijing, your private tour guide and driver will greet you with warm smiles. They will escort you to your hotel, allowing you to rest after your long flight.
After a 1½-hour drive from downtown Beijing, you will reach Mutianyu. This is the most child-friendly section of the Great Wall, with a pristine 2½-kilometer (1½-mile) section that was fully restored in 1986. Use the round-way cable car to save time and energy. At the Wall, your guide will give an introduction and tips for the best experience. Then you will have about 2 hours free time to explore.
Later, head to the Temple of Heaven, a sacred site and architectural masterpiece. Many locals go to the Temple of Heaven to engage in traditional activities such as tai chi, calligraphy, painting, and other cultural practices.
Begin your day at iconic Tian’anmen Square. Then, continue north to visit the majestic Forbidden City to explore ancient Chinese imperial architecture. Your knowledgeable tour guide will explain its historical with stories of the emperors and help you uncover the secrets of its royal architecture.
