Welcome to Winter Wonderland Chengdu! Your personal guide and driver will greet you at the airport and accompany you directly to your hotel in Chengdu.
Depending on the weather, embark on a 2-3 hour journey from your hotel in Chengdu to Xiling Snow Mountain. Once there, a cable car and shuttle bus will whisk you up to the ski resort situated at an altitude of 2,200 meters, offering spectacular views of the snow-covered landscape.
Check in at the hotel located near the ski area and get ready to start your skiing adventure! Known as the ‘Oriental Alps,’ Xiling Snow Mountain boasts the largest natural ski resort in South China. The resort caters to all skill levels with its primary and intermediate ski runs, ensuring a fun-filled experience for everyone. If skiing isn’t your preference, the resort also offers many exciting snow activities, such as snowmobiling, snow rafting, and dog sledding.
Note: As each guest’s preferences differ, you’ll pay directly at the resort for your chosen skiing or snow activities.
Dedicate another day to mastering the ski slopes, indulging in entertainment facilities, and basking in the mesmerizing snowscape of the mountain.
In the afternoon, take the shuttle bus and cable car back to the resort entrance. From there, your private car will whisk you away to the Hot Spring Resort nestled at the foot of the mountain.
Tonight, you’ll be staying at one of the premier hot spring hotels, renowned for its therapeutic outdoor natural sulfur springs. Feel free to soak in the hot springs, providing the perfect remedy for your tired muscles after two days of skiing.
Start your day with a relaxing hot spring dip before a one-hour drive to Anren Ancient Town. This 1380-year-old town blends history and tranquility. Enjoy the sight of 27 Chinese-Western fusion mansions from the Republic of China era. Don’t miss the photo-worthy indigo-dyed ribbons hanging above the streets and local dishes like fried tofu, sesame oil duck, and sweet fermented rice.
After your exploration, we will transport you back to your hotel in the city.
Start your day with a visit to the Chengdu Panda Base. In winter, all the pandas will stay in the outdoor enclosures, allowing you to observe them without the barrier of indoor glass walls.
For lunch, indulge in the ancient Sichuan tradition of hot pot—a culinary delight no one can resist in the chilly winter months! Choose spicy or clear broth, then savour ingredients like beef slices, tofu, and wide rice noodles. Adventurous eaters might even try special items like duck feet and omasum.
After your meal, take a stroll through the historic Kuanzhai Alley. Pause for tea in a traditional teahouse or a coffee in a charming café. The area’s handicraft shops and souvenir stores are well worth exploring.
After breakfast, your guide and driver will ensure you reach Tianfu Airport safely. Bid farewell to the winter charm of Chengdu!
