Upon arrival, you’ll have an airport pickup with your private guide. The rest of the day is yours to explore Harbin on your own. You can visit landmarks like Central Street, St. Sophia Church, and Zhaolin Park.
Start your day with a visit to the Siberian Tiger Park. This is a thrilling experience where the Siberian tigers run close to the safari bus, and you might even get a chance to see baby tigers.
Next, you will head to Sun Island. During the 38th Snow Expo, you can closely appreciate the snow sculpture art and enjoy a variety of colorful snow entertainment activities.
At sunset, visit Diamond Sea to admire the beautiful scenery of the Songhua River. Afterward, head to the world’s largest ice and snow theme park, the Ice and Snow World, and immerse yourself in a transparent, fairy-tale world.
The day begins with a 5-hour journey from Harbin to Snow Town. Upon arrival, you’ll check into a distinctive local hotel where you’ll stay tonight.
Once settled, prepare to be captivated by the landscape: You’ll admire the naturally formed “snow mushroom” features and whimsical drifts that look like scenes from a video game.
You’ll have ample time to explore Xueyun Avenue, which is lined with charming shops and local specialty snacks. For fantastic photos, climb the Bangchui Hill Scenic Walkways to get a stunning, panoramic view of the village.
As night falls, the town transforms. The streets will host a lively Yangge performance (a traditional folk dance), and for a memorable experience, you can even join the massive group disco!
Travel three hours from Snow Town to the Jingpo Lake Scenic Area, where you will enjoy a local specialty cold-water fish feast for lunch.
In winter, flowing water and converging cliffs form a spectacular ice waterfall. Thanks to underground hot springs, the lake never freezes, allowing you to watch a thrilling cliff diving performance. A must-do here is watching the large-scale winter fishing ceremony and the local-style winter fishing itself.
After sightseeing, you will travel 4 hours to the hot spring hotel at Changbaishan, where you can soak in the hot springs surrounded by winter snow.
Visit the Northern Slope Scenic Area of the Changbaishan World Heritage site to appreciate its volcanic landforms.
At the summit, you will find Heavenly Lake, the highest and largest crater lake in Northeast Asia, offering breathtaking views. You will also visit the Grand Waterfall, the Underground Forest, and sample hot spring-boiled eggs at the Julong Hot Spring.
The Beauty Pine Sky Bridge Park is an excellent spot to appreciate the rare and beautiful beauty pines. A walk along the park’s winding trails, flanked by snow-dusted pines, offers a sense of tranquility.
If you wish to explore Erdaobaihe Town further, your guide and driver will be available for you.
This morning, you can experience a special 30-minute raft ride on Mt. Changbai’s hot spring river, where temperatures can drop to −30°C. If the weather permits, you will see gorgeous rime lining the riverside during the rafting.
Next, visit the Reindeer Park. Here, you can feed the reindeer and enjoy ample photo opportunities with an array of snowmen, snowy cabins, and frozen rose walls.
In the afternoon, you will take a 2.5-hour high-speed train from Changbaishan to Changchun, the capital city of Jilin province.
Visit the Imperial Palace of Manchukuo, which served as the residence of Puyi, the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty, during his tenure as the puppet emperor under Japanese rule.
Next, explore The Hill, a popular shopping mall designed to look like a mountain (similar to Chongqing’s Hongya Cave). Visitors can explore its unique structure, finding a variety of establishments, including snack shops, handicraft stores, boutiques, and bookstores.
After visiting, you will head to Changchun Longjia International Airport to end your trip.
