Week 5 Lessons

Day 1

Today’s phrase is about something I think almost EVERYONE loves doing! Watch this video, and in under 3 minutes learn how to say something new in Chinese!

Day 2

In today’s lesson, we’ll take what you learned yesterday and show you how to turn it into a super useful question. This is definitely one you can try asking your Chinese friends!

Day 3

Today we’ll introduce two super useful new words. 

As always, Wei Wei 老师 (lǎo shī) – teacher – will help make sure you can pronounce these words correctly. 

She also explains an interesting tone change that happens with the word 不 (bù) – no/not – to help you can avoid a common mistake.

Day 4

I have to admit: we’re taking BIG steps this week in our Chinese Phrase of the Day Challenge! Today is no exception! You’ll learn 2 new important vocabulary words, and a new sentence pattern you’re going to use *all the time!* 

Wei Wei also explains how you know when the word 爱 (ài) means “love” and when it means “like”.  It’s the kind of explanation you won’t find in most Mandarin resources, but is SO helpful in real conversations.
